Backup and recovery

What happens to your data if something goes wrong, stated plainly, including the details we have not confirmed yet.

In short

Backup frequency, retention and recovery procedures for the hosted service have not been confirmed for publication. Rather than guess, this page marks each of them “To be confirmed” and lists what you can already do to keep your own copies.

Built into the product

Protection against partial or lost work

  • One transaction per posting

An invoice, its stock movement and its journal are saved together or not at all, so a failure does not leave half a document.

  • Cancel instead of delete

Cancelling keeps the original document and reverses its effect, so a mistaken cancellation can be investigated.

  • Relational database

Business data is stored in a PostgreSQL database with constraints that reject records that would break links between documents.

Backups

Your own copies

Exports you can keep today

  • Reports to Excel, CSV and PDF

Accounting, GST and stock reports export the complete filtered report, not only the visible page.

  • GSTR-1 JSON

Download GSTR-1 in the GST portal’s offline-utility format.

  • Printed documents

Print or save invoices, challans, orders and quotations as PDF.

  • To be confirmed

    Full company data export

Whether a complete export of a company’s data can be provided, and in what format.

Service disruption

If the service is interrupted

  • e-Invoice provider outages

If your GST provider cannot be reached, the invoice stays saved in AYBN and you can retry generating the e-Invoice later.

  • To be confirmed

    Status updates and support

How outages are announced and how to reach support during one.

  • To be confirmed

    Data loss

What AYBN will do, and what it will tell you, if data is lost.
